Assessment and Reporting

mittagongsquare03The assessments for each Key Learning Area are done on a regular basis and by using a variety of methods. Assessment activities are planned or incidental and they assist in providing the teachers with quality information about your child’s achievement of outcomes. The staff work together in the planning and evaluation of assessment tasks to assist the consistency of reporting.

Formal reporting opportunities are provided at the end of terms 1, 2 and 4 as follows:

  • Term 1   A Parent/Teacher interview is conducted
  • Term 2  An Academic Report on the first semester is sent home
  • Term 4   An Academic Report on the second semester is sent home 

 

Parents and teachers are encouraged to organise other meetings as the need arises. Any form of reporting a child’s progress is a chance to celebrate their progress and to seek ways in which any challenges can be met.
